Can I personalize emails beyond just the names?

You can merge any piece of data you have about your contacts into the email template. There is no limit to the number of custom Merge Fields, we also have a bunch of standard fields: Name, Company, Address, etc. See below an example of the default Merge fields and some new ones added by a user.
